Car Speakers - Bluetooth

Skills used:

  • Research
  • designing & generating ideas
  • Fabrication using jigsaw and drill

During grade 12, I made this simple Bluetooth speaker using car speakers and an amplifier with Bluetooth. Nothing really special about the internals, since it was pretty easy to setup and there are no batteries. It needs to be plugged in using a 60W adapter since it wouldn't last long off battery power anyways. The housing was made out of MDF since it is cheap and easy to cut. I used a jigsaw to cut everything, which was not the most precise. Pieces were glued together using wood glue and holes were made for power input. Speakers were secured using screws and that is pretty much it. Simple build, but very loud and price effective. Total cost was probably around $100.
