APSC101: Claw Retrieval System

Skills used:

  • C programming for Arduino to activate servo motor when ultrasonic sensor returns a set distance
  • Prototyping 
  • followed design process and performed iterations to improve design
  • Analytically conducted risk assessments

As part of first year course APSC101, we were tasked to create a claw retrieval system to pickup various objects. The claw had to be made from cardboard and other readily available materials such as pencils, paper clips, popsicle sticks, etc.  Below is my final design and drawing.
